Three words: BUY THIS DRYER!
In the market for a newer, more efficient dryer, I researched several brands and was surprised to learn Conair offered some highly rated options. While I would love to own the $200+ model my hair stylist uses, my budget simply does not allow me to shell out that kind of money for something to blow hot air through my hair. After careful consideration, it came down to two different options–this model and a Conair model that retracted its cord after use. While a handy feature, I thought it would be just another thing that would wear the dryer down over time, so I opted for this model instead. I’M SO GLAD I DID! This dryer is light, dries your hair quickly, and most importantly to me, leaves you with virtually NO FLYAWAYS. I use one of the two concentrators included with the dryer and my hair is smooth and shiny all day. Honestly, my hair ends up looking as good as it looks after being dried with my hair stylist’s high end salon dryer.
If you’re looking for a fantastic dryer at a very reasonable cost, definitely check this model out. IT’S IN FOXY METALLIC ORANGE, TOO!

I scooped up the Conair 259 Infiniti Pro from Amazon’s Vine program even though I did not need a new hair dryer because I thought either my wife, sister, or mother would want to try it. My mother had been using the same old-school dryer for over a decade and declined to try the Conair 259. My wife and sister however, were rather excited to try a combination ionic and ceramic hair dryer. The last hair dryer I purchased broke within 3 years so they certainly don’t make them like they used to. Do they?
PROS:
- Ionic
- Ceramic
- Powerful 1875 watts
- 2 styling attachments
- Attractive orange
- Built like a tank
- Durable heavy-duty AC motor
- 4 Year Warranty
- Good value
CONS:
- Heavy
- Cool setting still warm
HAIR DRYING
If you’re like my mother and haven’t used or looked for a hair dryer in the last 10 years, then you probably have no idea what an ionic or ceramic hair dryer is. The ionic feature works by emitting negative ions and is supposed to address frizzing, enhance overall shine and even promote healthy hair. It is also supposed to lock in moisture and reduce static. The ceramic feature is supposed to help by providing even heat distribution to reduce drying times, thus decreasing heat exposure to your hair. Mind you, neither of these features are unique to Conair. Many modern hair dryers implement one or both technologies. Simply put, the features help, a lot. My sister swears by ionic hair dryers and the Conair 925 was her first combo unit she has tried and she really liked it. Her straight hair is typically down past her shoulder blades. My wife also enjoyed using it and her hair is wavy/curly and just past the top of her shoulders. The odd thing was that the “Cool” setting on the dryer was still pretty warm and the only way to get actual cool air was to use the blue cold-shot button.
WEIGHT AND BALANCE
I found the balance to be quite good and it felt natural in my hands. My wife and sister both agreed. We also all agreed that it was heavy. It wouldn’t prevent us from buying it or using it, but I would not describe this hair dryer as being light in any way.
DURABILITY
As I mentioned previously, it doesn’t seem to appear that they make hair dryers as durable as they once did, but the Conair 925 Infiniti Pro might just well buck that trend. It is built like a tank. It not only feels hefty, but entire unit feels solid and well made. The rocker switches operate smoothly as well and the removable filter ensures further durability.
NOISE
If you were envisioning drying your hair at night without disturbing others in the household, I have to pop that bubble for you. I have no idea how Conair’s marketers could in good conscience use, “whisper-quiet” to describe this dryer. It may be slightly quieter than some models, but to most, it’s probably as loud as any other dryer.
CONCLUSION
The Conair 925 Infiniti Pro would not have been tops on my list of hair dryers, but now that I have had a chance to use it, I’m not sure what hair dryer could top it for the price. A good value and recommended.

I was going to buy the Conair 213XP but was concerned about the reviews pertaining to its weight, as I have some arthritis. Then I saw this dryer. It only had 3 reviews but they were all excellent ones. Since my previous dryer had died that morning, I checked to see if any stores sold it and found it at Target. Well, I am so pleased with this purchase. It works just as well (maybe better) as the $100+ one I had a few years back that died after only 6 months. My hair is fine, and with other dryers, the warm setting is usually not warm enough and the hot setting feels like its frying it. This dryer has hot, warm, and cool settings, which are actually hot, warm, and cool. The airflow has 2 speeds, with both speeds being useful. The higher flow really puts out the air. and the “cool” shot is amazing. It actually gets “cool” within about 2 seconds. None of my other dryers have ever gotten that cool. After I’m finished drying my whole hair, I also use the “cool” shot to completely cool it off. My hair looks and feels soft and shiny, and I’m almost 60 years old. As far as the noise, it has the same sound as the dryer my hairstylist uses. I will definitely buy this dryer again when this one goes.

I know this sounds weird, but this was actually an impulse item. I saw it featured in a store and it looked cool, so I took a chance and bought it. It turned out to be a great purchase! The Conair 259 Infiniti Pro is very lightweight, not too large (definitely smaller and lighter than my Vidal Sassoon dryer). I love the 3 speeds, especially the cool speed. And it’s powerful! Wow. The airflow is really strong and will dry your hair fast. All in all, I’m satisfied with my purchase!

I purchased this to replace a small hair dryer. I live in an apartment and the neighbors never complained about the old hair dryer but they did mention it. The compact hair dryer that this purchase replaced was quite loud. This new hair dryer is much quieter than the old one. I was pleasantly surprised at how much quieter it is.
