This hair dryer is awesome! I have a long history of buying cheapy Conair or Revlon hair dryers from Target or Costco ($[...]!! What a deal!), and have an equally long history of frustratingly frizzy hair. Funny, I can spend hundreds of dollars on anti-frizz product every year, but never occurred to me to invest in a good quality hair dryer. This is an investment at a great price and will actually save you money on all those anti-frizz products. Once you learn how to blowdry your hair properly with this dryer, you too can look as if you’ve just left the salon with a blow-out. As proof, I have a drawer (and a basket, and a shelf) full of no-longer-needed styling products, and a Conair hair dryer that I now use for shrink wrapping gift baskets. There is a learning curve though. It’s hotter than you’d expect (don’t point at your scalp and blast away), but adjustable and you don’t have to keep the heat on your hair quite as long as with cheaper dryers. The Elchim Pro 2001 dries hair quickly – roommate has super thick hair and I have thin hair but a LOT of it, and we both have long hair (mid-back and longer). Works the same for both of us. Dry in sections. Use a good quality brush, and pre-dry spritz with a leave-in conditioner or a protective spray. Enjoy your new look!

This is a great hair dryer for home and professionally if you’re a stylist. My stylist uses this hair dryer so I wanted it at home. The fan is really strong and the heat is very hot. I was concerned at first that it wasn’t 2000 watts but 1800 was more than adequate. This 1800 watt hair dryer is better than my 2000 watt hair dryer!
