When i first got it, i immediately boxed it up for return. But then i went to Sally Beauty supply, and they sell pretty much the very same kind, no better than this. ok, so this product has quite a line of negative reviews. When i first got it, i immediately boxed it up for return. But then i went to Sally Beauty supply, and they sell pretty much the very same kind, no better than this. I looked for other brands online too within this price range and I didn’t find anything i liked more. This is of poorish quality mainly since the plastic is a small flimsy, but it serves it purpose for me which is washing my hair on the sink. No leaks so far. Time will tell how long it holds but for the price, its ok.

I tried this curling iron, and i plotting that it wouldn’t work since it was so cheap. I used it, and It was incredible! it makes absolutely gorgeous curls, and thats why its always out of stock on all the websites. I absolutely suggest this curling iron set if you have a hard time keeping curls in your hair. I have tried every type of curling iron and products to try and hold my curls all day, nothing has worked until this. I don’t have to use any product and the curls stay in even as I am jumping around at work with kids.

I do agree that it takes some maneuvering to make sure you don't burn yourself or the the person on whom you are using this. I used dollar store, winter/knit glove and it worked just fine. I also wore long sleeves and was extra careful around the neck, forehead and ears area to avoid burns. All it took was one time to be burned to learn that pretty quickly! All in all, a really good product. I rarely give any product 5 stars but based on cost and ease of use etc, it's very good. I'm reserving the other star for longevity of this product. This item arrived very quickly, was simple to operate and took just a small even as to learn how to handle and achieve much loved results. I do agree that it takes some maneuvering to make sure you don’t burn yourself or the the person on whom you are by this. I used dollar store, winter/knit glove and it worked just fine. I also wore long sleeves and was extra careful around the neck, forehead and ears area to avoid burns. All it took was one time to be burned to learn that pretty quickly! All in all, a really excellent product. I rarely give any product 5 stars but based on cost and ease of use etc, it’s very excellent. I’m reserving the other star for longevity of this product. It’s not cheap so I would hope it would last a even as.

I bought 2 curling irons in the time span of about a small over a year. The ceramic purple coating ultimately burns off and fries your hair of poorer quality than a regular metal hot tools iron. The coating doesnt last long, if it didn’t burn off the coating, this would be a excellent iron.

It's also silky smooth and really glides through your hair - love the cord feature which allows for ease-of-movement. The downside is that since I've had it (1-2 months) the purple coating is totally coming off...and I'd suspect in another few months it will be really bad. I'm not sure if this is do to the product that I wear on my hair - might be - but I can't give it 5 stars when the coating started coming off immediately. Also, the iron doesn't have auto-shut off. Granted, it didn't advertise that it did, but I haven't purchased an iron in the past several years that DIDN'T have this feature so I took for granted that it did. If the coating wasn't coming off and it had auto-shut off, it'd be the best iron ever!
