I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely likes it. It gets hot very quickly and it curls and/or flattens perfectly leaving hair shiny and smooth. I have very curly and at times frizzy hair and ordinarily use my own flattener or curling iron but wanted to try hers. The difference I saw in my hair led me to sneak into her room every morning and steal it to do my hair before work. After doing this off and on for two months, I am buying my own finally. I’ve used many brands of flatteners and curling irons but I’m not sure what it is about this one, it’s just something you have to try to see the difference. P.S. my daughter and I both have medium to long hair if that makes a difference, but we each have layers/bangs in the front and have no issues at all by it

this item is ok, but the dual flat/curling iron technology really does not work well…when I use it as a flat iron, it doesn’t really iron my hair straight & smooth; when I use it as a curling iron, the barrel is too large for small-medium length hair, and it doesn’t really grab the hair well (hair slips out of the barrel too straightforwardly)…and it’s heavy compared to other irons which makes it hard to hold/control; the tip of the iron gets too hot to hold it steady even as you’re waiting for the curl to set.
I’m going back to my individual flat iron and smaller-barrel curling iron!

I simply like it, makes my hair look just as if I went to a hairstylist in 10 minutes, curly or straight, and shiny
The only problem is that it doesn’t work outside US, unless you use a transformer.

My daughter 16, has gone through numerous hair curlers and striaghteners. She was then finally told by a professional hair artist that CHI made a combo curler/straightener and so she questioned for one for Christmas. Though ‘high-priced’ this is a very excellent product and my daughetr has already recommended it to numerous of her friends as it works better then any previous product. NOW with a bit of luck it lasts for a long time!!

the curling iron did not the hair correctly without pulling my hair with it, and everytime I bent my hair with it the clip came apart for the flat iron. I do not know if the one I got was faultly but this product was terrible
