I like my 1 1/4″ Hot Tools curling iron (bought from Ulta) and resolute to buy the 1″ from Discount Jungle. I was excited to receive it, but when I plugged my curling iron (for the 1st time) it was emitting a burning odor. I used it maybe 3-4 x hoping it would go away, but it didn’t. As stated previously, I currently own a HT curling iron and works well with no tribulations and shouldn’t be giving off this odor. I contacted DJ & they sent a replacement. Sadly, that too was giving off a burning smell. Since I don’t want to deal with the hassle of paying for shipping (again) & waiting for it (again), I am going to keep it, even though I am worried about protection. I will just keep my eye on it. Oh, well.

i bought this iron after my artist used it on me for my wedding day. i loved how straightforwardly it worked on my hard to curl hair and it gets hot really quick. plus, it’s a fantastic value. i’m very satisfied with this buy!!

This is a fantastic curling iron. Not only does it heat up very quick and very hot (I’ve only turned the dial up to three out of a possible ten, since it’s to strong), but it makes gorgeous curls that last for days. Depending on the type of look you want, they make the curlers in different sizes. This size is terrific for long hair if you want ringlets. They also make a curler with a larger barrel for very baggy curls, waves, and even to straighten, and they have even smaller barrels for tighter curls. This was a excellent size for me.
I’ve used it for quite a even as and had no tribulations with it…it lasts very well.

i’ve only used my iron a few times, and i must say i am overall satisfied…i mean, for the price, it works well…i didn’t have any outrageous expectations.i only gave it 4 stars since i’ve only had it for over 1 month…so , i don’t know how long mine will last…If it’ll last me years, then, id give it 5…..
