I have the conservational and black Paul Mitchell flat iron which I bought from my hair salon about 3 years ago and it still works fantastic. I wanted to buy a new flat iron just in case my ancient one breaks and I first bought an FHI limited edition. I returned it since it changed the texture of my hair in a very weird way regardless of which temperature setting I used and it took a long time to straighten my hair with it. I was very dissatisfied with it. So, I resolute to buy another Paul Mitchell iron and I chose this one. This iron is just fantastic. It straightens without damaging hair and I use it at the highest setting. It leaves your hair shiny and smooth. It takes me about ten minutes if I first wash my hair and lightly blow dry. In between washings,I use it to style my hair in just a couple of minutes. (I have shoulder length, medium thick, frizzy hair.) This is an brilliant flat iron and I plot to stick with the Paul Mitchell stylers.

Fabulous!!!! This straightening iron makes my hair soft and shiny. I have very coarse and thick hair and softens and straightens with no problem. I am excellent for a week before my next hair washing. Worth the money.

This wonderful instrument adds softness, body and shine to my hair. It straightens out my hair without pulling out hair, burning hair or anything harmful. For all hair types. I am african american with thin/fine hair that is relaxed and it does justice by my hair.

This is by far the BEST flat iron I have ever used, and I’ve tried many. Solia, Chi, Ion, that one they were advertising on TV for a even as (but don’t anymore? Since the thing kept BREAKING!) and some other ones I don’t remember. I have thick, course, curly, and super hurt hair. I went to a professional artist one day, and she made my hair gorgeous. Trimmed the ends, fixed the color, and gave me fantastic advice on flat ironing techniques. I had to question her what she was by, since I was fed up with my flat irons. She told me Paul Mitchell, she swears by it. I went to folica first, but was glad I resolute to shop around since it’s nearly 100 dollars less on amazon, and that is an incredible price for this flat iron.

I also, from time to time, straighten my boyfriend’s long, thick, curly hair (he’s hispanic). He’s so pleased with it too, since now he has “metal” hair, which is excellent for windmilling at shows I suppose!

If you’re on the fence about this flat iron, let me convince you, I was at the end of my rope. I dye my hair, and have for about 5 years now, and was seriously considering chemical straightening (BAD IDEA!!!!!). Thank goodness I went to my artist first. Even when I do it myself, this flat iron makes my hair silky, soft, and it has fantastic movement.

I’m a artist of 11+ years, and have tried many, many flat irons. This, by far is the best I’ve used, not only on my own hair, but it has worked well on all types of hair I’ve used it on. It leaves the hair silky, smooth and shiney, and it gets hot enough to straighten the most coarse and curly hair, ordinarily with use per section, works perfectly. I’m sold, definately worth the extra money, I highly recommend this product!
