Hair dryers are one of life’s necessary products and even though I rarely use them, I still admit the need and that is part of the reason I own this hair dryer from Vidal Sassoon. I rarely use a hair dryer but even with my limited treatment, I can clearly see the advantages of owning a hair dryer like this one. First, it is nice to have three different heat settings and two different air flow speeds. I have owned simpler devices before that only offered two heat settings and one speed. On warm heat and high airflow, my hair is completely dry in about two to three minutes. There is a higher heat setting that would doubtless do the trick even quicker but I avoid this setting since it is too hot on my head.
Vidal Sassoon Professional also offers special attachments and added features that make it a excellent choice for those with longer hair and special hair tribulations. One added feature is the ionizer. This is straightforwardly turned on or off by the switch on the top of the hair dryer. Ionization, I have been told, seals in moisture, makes the hair dry quicker, and eliminates frizziness. This feature is very nice for those with longer hair since it can help lessen the need for conditioner and other hair products.
The diffuser that comes with this hair dryer is very excellent and quite large in size. It is very effective since of its size and since it has so many prongs (12 in total). It makes curly hair look very nice, diffusing the heat in an efficient manner so that no small area is getting blasted with surplus heat.
Other features on this hair dryer include a cold blast feature and the straightening device. The cold blast is designed to quickly blast the hair with cold air to help hold a style in place and it doubtless works best on those with long, straight hair. The straightening device is, again, for people who have straight hair, want to straighten their hair, or want only a small amount of wave. It isn’t useful to us but it seems to be a excellent attachment and it straightforwardly snaps on and off the front of the hair dryer.
Overall, this hair dryer is a very excellent device that performs to near perfection on people with small hair (like most any hair dryer) and works well for those with longer hair thanks to the bonus features and extra attachments. Add to that the three heat levels, two speeds, and 1875 watts of power and you have the makings of a professional hair styling device- one that offers the essential features to give most people the final results they want at a low cost.

I went to visit my mother and she had a Vidal Sasson turbo 1875 watt dryer (not this model), it was quick and I was impressed with how quick it dryed my fantastic amount of thick hair. I go online and buy a Vidal Sasson turbo straight away but when I get it the only thing “turbo” about it is the word on the box. This is not quicker than my current dryer at home with the same 1875 watts. There are 2 speeds and 3 heat settings like it says but no turbo button like I expected. Perhaps the HIGH setting is supposed to be the turbo setting, but it doesn’t say that and it doesn’t feel like that. It’s not a terrible hair dryer but the reason for the lower rating is it’s just not what I signed up for. Update: After giving this dryer a chance for a month I found that it has another down side – the speed and heat slider buttons are right under where your fingers go. I constantly turn the dryer off unintentionally even as drying my hair since of the placement and it’s quite annoying.

I have used this hair dryer for a numerous months and am very satisfied with it. I had a perm when I first used this hair dryer and used the diffuser to avoid frizz. It worked fantastic. My granddaughter who has long thick hair used it even as visiting and was satisfied with how quick it dried her hair.
With the diffuser on this hair dryer is a small heavy, but I reckon any hair dryer with a diffuser on is a small awkward. Now that I am no longer by the diffuser, I find this to be a very comfortable hair dryer that dries my hair quickly. I like the choice of temperatures and speeds this dryer offers.
You won’t find a better hair dryer for the money!

The dryer works well, but the diffuser hardly diffuses the hair at all. The air still comes through nearly directly which defeats the purpose of it. I finished up returning it.
